UltraGrid Receives the Visionair Funding
December 2012Cooperation with the i2cat foundation to integrate a H.264 based coding module (currently available in i2CAT UHD transmission software).
From December 2012 to March 2013 researchers from CESNET and Sitola will be working in cooperation with the i2cat foundation to integrate a H.264 based coding module (currently available in i2CAT UHD transmission software) to UltraGrid software. This research will focus on both minimizing the processor time and latency using ffmpeg. The system will moreover be evaluated for performance using different metrics and finally compared to i2CAT software. Visionair stands for „VISION Advanced Infrastructure for Research“, a european foundation that finances projects in high-level visualization, striving to network researchers in the field into a top notch research infrastructure.
